HERE’S HOW
IT WORKS

  • NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS OF ANY SIZE IN THE PHILADELPHIA / NEW JERSEY / DELAWARE AREA.

In the past, we’ve worked with everyone from small neighborhood community groups and private caterers to larger organizations including Philadelphia Magic Gardens and Friends of the Wissahickon.

  • MEMBERS FROM THE ORGANIZATION WILL COLLABORATE WITH STUDENTS THROUGH A PROCESS OF RESEARCH, DISCOVERY, STRATEGY, AND DESIGN.

At the beginning of the semester, clients meet briefly with students to introduce their businesses and take part in a discovery workshop. The students will present a design proposal to clients in a midterm presentation, and then a final revised proposal at end of the semester.

  • NOPE!

Other than your time and willingness to work with our students.

  • THERE ARE 3 SCHEDULED CLIENT MEETINGS OVER 15 WEEKS; EACH WILL LAST ABOUT AN HOUR TO AN HOUR AND A HALF.

Additional meetings can be arranged as necessary and at your convenience.

Clients should be available to respond to brief email queries throughout the semester.

All meetings can be in-person or over Zoom.

  • STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO THINK BROADLY ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AND PROPOSE ORIGINAL IDEAS TO HELP IT FLOURISH.

After a research and development period guided by the expert faculty, the students will present 3 preliminary directions for your consideration, and then develop one into a polished final proposal.

  • By the end of the semester, students will present a finalized proposal for your design project, based on your feedback and project development.

  • ABSOLUTELY! YOU ARE FREE TO USE THE DESIGN ASSETS AND STRATEGIES THE STUDENTS DEVELOPED FOR YOU OVER THE SEMESTER.

These may be limited and not cover all uses, so if you want to undergo further development of the design once the class has ended, you can work with the student teams on a paid freelance basis to complete the design vision for your organization.
